Working with Paul Barlow from L&CO www.l-and-co.com, Simon has recently created the brand strategy and name to renew a ten year old private equity company, formerly known as Foursome investments, www.frogcapital.com.
Frog Capital specialises in investing in clean and high tech companies and is backed by one of Europe’s most successful entrepreneurial families. In a collaborative process with the family and the new management team, the Frog name was inspired by the idea of the brand – metamorphosis, helping growing companies achieve enduring success – as well as its clean tech focus and desire to be different. With such a richly symbolic name, L&Co created a brand identity based on a distinctive logotype, a monochrome palette, a bold and confident attitude expressed in witty headlines and a small frog print. It’s used as a secondary signature and pops up when you least expect it. The Frog brand was short-listed for Design Week’s 2009 Benchmark awards.
